Trail Rides

We offer scheduled trail rides to the public – no riding experience required! We own 140 acres with woods, creek crossings, and tallgrass prairie that is ideal for wildlife. We sometimes see deer, turkeys, coyotes, foxes, and/or pheasants while out on rides. We use the same horses for trail rides that we do for lessons – they are very well trained, safe, and enjoyable to ride.

Our trail riding season is from May 15 – October 15th, weather permitting.

Cost for a trail ride is $50/person (CASH ONLY), and we can take up to 6 riders. Weight limit is 225 pounds.

Terry gives you a short lesson, followed by a nice scenic ride through our property. The ride through the woods itself is about an hour, but plan on up to two hours for the whole experience. We only walk or trot on our trails (depending on the experience of the riders), but offer some arena time to canter/lope for the more experienced riders at the end of the ride.

We are family and couple friendly, and have even had a marriage proposal on one of our trail rides!

Youth riders must be able to ride by themselves (NO riding double). Young riders may be led from the Guide’s horse if needed.

Riders must wear long pants and closed-toed shoes (no sandals). Helmets are available and required for riders under 18 years of age.
